Dental clinic management software, built for Indian clinics
Dentospire is dental clinic management software — a dental practice management system that runs the whole clinic day in one place: appointments, patient records, dental charting, GST billing, patient communication, inventory, lab work and reporting. It is used by solo practices and by multi-branch clinics across India, and it is free for up to 200 patients.
It was built by a practising dentist, so the clinical side is not an afterthought: X-ray reading and voice dictation in Indian languages are part of the platform rather than paid add-ons, and there is a three-minute mode for the walk-in patient whose entire visit has to clear inside a quarter of an hour.
No credit card. The demo needs no signup.
What clinic management software has to cover
A dental practice management system is judged on whether the whole day fits inside it. These are the parts Dentospire ships, and what each one actually does.
- Appointment scheduling
- Drag-and-drop day, week and month views, per-chair scheduling so two operators run in parallel, recurring appointments for ongoing treatment plans, and a public self-booking page. More on appointment scheduling.
- Patient records (EMR)
- One record per patient holding history, medical alerts, documents, radiographs, prescriptions and every past visit. A 24-hour edit lock and an immutable audit trail sit behind it.
- Dental charting
- A 32-tooth photorealistic chart with 44 conditions, surface-level marking, adult, paediatric and mixed dentition, in FDI or Universal notation. More on dental charting.
- Billing and GST
- GST-compliant invoices with line items, partial payments, patient ledgers with running balances, and a GSTR-1 / B2CS sales export plus a Tally XML voucher export for your accountant. More on billing and gst.
- Patient communication
- WhatsApp, SMS and email reminders, recall against treatment-plan timelines, and a WhatsApp link patients can use to book themselves outside clinic hours. More on patient communication.
- Inventory and lab
- Material stock with low-stock alerts, supplier orders, and lab work tracked from the chart with the lab updating its own job status. More on inventory and lab.
- Reporting
- Per-doctor revenue, collections, outstanding receivables, treatment mix, and a revenue-leak view that names the unpaid invoices and the patients who stopped coming. More on reporting.
- Multi-branch
- One owner, many clinics: branch-isolated patient lists, role-based cross-branch access, and a consolidated view across every location. More on multi-branch.
- Patient portal
- Patients sign in with an OTP — no password — to see appointments, prescriptions, invoices and treatment history in their own language. More on patient portal.
- Clinical AI
- X-ray reading, voice-to-SOAP dictation in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil and English, and a clinic assistant that answers questions about your own data. Included in the platform, not sold as an add-on. More on clinical ai.

Choosing between dental clinic management systems
Several dental practice management systems are used in India, including Practo Ray, Cliniify, Dentee, DentsKart, Densmart, CuraVerto, MocDoc and PappyJoe, alongside the global platforms Dentrix, CareStack, Curve and Open Dental. The questions worth asking of any of them are the same:
- Does the clinical work live in it, or only the billing?
- Can you get your own data back out, in a readable format, whenever you want?
- What happens to the day when the internet drops?
- Is the price per chair, per user, or per clinic — and what does it become at renewal?
- Who answers the phone when something breaks during a working clinic?
Feature-by-feature comparisons against the systems above are on the comparison hub.
Dental clinic management software — common questions
What is dental clinic management software?
Dental clinic management software is the system a practice runs its day on: appointments, patient records and charting, billing, patient communication, inventory, lab work and reporting, in one place instead of a diary, a billing book and a folder of files. It is also called dental practice management software.
What does Dentospire cost?
There is a free plan for up to 200 patients that includes charting, GST billing and the DARA assistant. Paid plans are billed annually: Starter ₹7,497 a year, Pro ₹14,997 a year, Enterprise ₹29,997 a year. Billing is annual — there is no per-chair charge.
Is there a free dental clinic management software option?
Yes. Dentospire's free plan covers up to 200 patients with the core clinic workflow, with no credit card required. It is intended for solo practitioners and for clinics evaluating a switch, not as a trial that expires.
Can I move my existing patient records in?
Yes. The import wizard takes a CSV or Excel export from your current system for patients, treatments and invoices. You map the columns, preview exactly what will land, and only then commit. Rows that fail validation are skipped and reported rather than written badly.
Does it work when the internet drops?
Yes. Visit entry, charting and prescriptions keep working offline in the installable web app, and sync when the connection returns — which matters in clinics on weak connections.
Is it suitable for a multi-branch clinic or a chain?
Yes. Each branch keeps its own patient list and its own numbers, roles control who can move between branches, and the owner sees a consolidated view across all locations from one screen.
Is patient data safe under the DPDP Act?
Dentospire is built to the DPDP Act 2023 posture: patient identifiers are encrypted at rest, access is role-based and audited, and the sub-processor list with the country each processor holds data in is published openly. The current database region and the migration in progress are disclosed on the privacy page rather than described in general terms.
How is Dentospire different from other dental clinic management software in India?
Two things. The clinical AI — X-ray reading and voice-to-SOAP dictation in Indian languages — is part of the platform rather than a paid add-on. And the workflow was designed by a practising dentist around a real chairside day, including a three-minute mode for walk-in patients, rather than being a general clinic system with dental labels applied.
Run the clinic on it before you pay for it
The free plan covers up to 200 patients with the core workflow, so you can put real patients through it before deciding anything.
