• Clinic Data: Clinic name, address, specialty, and settings you configure.
• Patient Records: Patient demographics, treatment records, invoices, and clinical notes entered by your clinic.
• Usage Data: Feature usage, page views, and performance metrics to improve the platform.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Providing and maintaining the Dentospire platform
• Processing your clinic operations (appointments, treatments, billing)
• Sending important account and service notifications
• Improving platform features and performance

4. Data Protection

We implement industry-standard security measures:

• Encryption: Patient PII is encrypted with AES-256-GCM at the application level. All data in transit is encrypted with TLS 1.3.
• Clinic Isolation: Each clinic's data is fully isolated. No cross-clinic data access.
• Authentication: Secure authentication via Clerk with JWT tokens and optional two-factor authentication.
• Backups: Automatic point-in-time recovery backups via Neon PostgreSQL.

5. Data Sharing

We NEVER sell, share, or monetize your patient data. Your clinic data is yours. We do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

We may share data only with: (a) service providers essential for platform operation (hosting, database, authentication), and (b) as required by law or legal process.

6. Data Ownership & Portability

You own your data. You can export all your clinic and patient data at any time. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our systems.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notification.
